Originally (2009/2010) OSF is based on contributing and benefiting and publicizing ‘Netherlands Sport Nation’ internationally.  

Orange Sports Forum is a platform for the promotion of companies, organisations and institutions. Orange Sports Forum’s aim is support these Dutch companies and institutions that want to export their sport-related products, services and/or knowledge. To customers, governments and organisations, to and from abroad. The latest developments en insights are shared by the participants and leads and projects are exchanged. Additionally OSF closely works togheter with Dutch government and foreign posts (Embassies and Consulates). Finally this will result in making optimal use of changes abroad. using OSF’s cornerstones:

• To support, represent and advise sport companies and institutions with international export ambitions. OSF realizes this by developing a knowledge database, where information is collected and shared with foreign sports market. Additionally incoming and outgoing (sports)trade missions are initiated, supervised and tuned. OSF can also take care of the commitment of political and economical diplomacy. Finally OSF also serves as  a service point and coordinator for home and abroad.

• To develop a sports business network relevant for home and abroad. To reach this goal OSF organizes network and information meetings for companies, Embassies and Ministries. OSF maintains close contact with this posts (Embassies, Consulates, NBSO’s, etc) and the involved Ministries ( Economic Affairs Health, Welfare and Sports, Infrastructure and the Environment, Foreign Affairs). Additionally we make subsidy and finance possibilities for companies accessible.

• To publicize the exceptional character of the Dutch sport environment. OSF does not focus on the Dutch sporting performances, but on the knowledge and skill in the field of sport and innovation.
